THE ALISON PALMER STUDIO HOLIDAY SHOW & SALE
TWO WEEKENDS: DECEMBER 14-15, 21-22
Steve and Alison are getting ready for their Annual Holiday Show and Sale the weekends ofDecember 14-15 and December 21-22, or by appointment at 860-927-4680. Refreshments will be served and there will be live music by Grammy Award winner Steve Katz.
Alison has been an artist for most of her life and has studied at The Kansas City Art Institute and California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland CA. Alison is considered by many to be one of the foremost ceramic artists in America and has shown her pieces all over the country for over thirty years.
Steve has been a musician most of his life, a member of the original Blues Project and a founding member of Blood Sweat and Tears. Steve also produced two Lou Reed albums in the early seventies, both of which were Mr. Reed’s most successful albums. Steve is currently writing his memoirs and is also a professional photographer specializing in photographing artwork, most prominently his wife Alison’s ceramic inventions.
Now in the process of raising funds for a communal soda kiln that is being built on their property, Alison has also begun a new series of hand-made one-of-a-kind lamps that are now being offered for the Holidays. Aside from writing his memoirs, Steve is back doing concerts which are a chronological mixture of story and song and will coincide with his autobiography which will be published by Lyons Press in late 2014.
