ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS
People come from around the world to teach and be taught in our large bright studio. We host 1-5 day workshops in a supportive and encouraging retreat-like atmosphere. All skill levels are welcome. Take a break, learn new techniques and ways of approaching your work. Be inspired, meet new people. Have a memorable experience – buy pots from the guest artists but, most of all – enjoy yourself!
Our studio, with its two floors, is in South Kent CT, USA, in a gorgeous part of the state, the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. There are hiking trails and woods to explore before and after the workshops. Come early, work late – the studio is always open. We have thirteen wheels and plenty of work tables. There are electric kilns, a wood fire kiln and a propane soda kiln. Space may be rented in any of the kilns. Click on the firing page for the firing schedule and fee chart.
You’ll have easy access to and from Hartford BDL airport – a pleasant hour and a half drive from the airport to the studio and back. There are plenty of places to stay in the Kent area; Fife and Drum, Cornwall Inn, Starbucks, and a multitude of AirBnBs. Kent has a nice variety of restaurants, Kingsley Tavern, Franks, Fife and Drum, Mamoo (Korean and Sushi), Shanghai (Chinese), Cozzy’s (pizza), plus the Warren General store for practically anything.
