From our annual trip to Mexico, and with the help of the magnificent Mexican surroundings – animals, sunsets, people, colors, and so much more, I created a new body of work. I decided this time to work in papier-mâché by making masks that are inspired by this amazing country. The sketchbook of drawings now includes photographs of these masks, modeled by local children from Merida and photographed against the colorful backgrounds of the walls of this beautiful colonial city.
