Respect~ Celebrating International Women’s Day~ a woman’s show invitational Live Now on Schallergallery.com @schallergallery I’m so happy to be showing in this gallery with these women.
I want to pull a test print so bad but we’re packing up to head home and it’s probably best not to put a wet Lino block and print in my suitcase. #allingoodtime #reliefprint #lino #linocut #patience #sigh
A treasure in Oaxaca, room after room~a library of 22,000 art books. This was Francisco Toledo’s collection that he donated to the city along with his huge photography and art collection. A wonderful place to spend time. It is so organized but there doesn’t seem to be any cataloging system, no Dewey Decimal system,no Congress Classification system #IAGO #Toledo #El Maestro #legacy #artbooks #library
I spent the last couple of months in Mexico working on Lino cuts. I thought I’d try doing a poster for our upcoming Clayway tour. Unfortunately they don’t represent our group. Although in the kiln I see a @bellhillpottery teapot and a @sanahstella cow bowl. I’ll try harder next time #printmaking #blackandwhite #mayanpaper #linocutprint #lino

Quite by surprise I got to see some of Alejandro Santiago’s figures from his sculpture called 2501 Migrants. A sculpture that paid homage to the thousands of immigrants that had to leave their ancestral homes for better pay, better living conditions or to escape violence. Can you imagine what it looked like to see all 2501 of them displayed together, facing south?#oaxaca #mexico #ceramicsculpture
Los Papeles Picados de Oaxaca~sounds like you’re by the sea instead of in the high desert #mexico #oaxaca #streetart #prints #murals #fabulousmexico
Tina our favorite pig. Last year she was quite a bit smaller. Here she is being serenaded by Steve and Russ. Tina examining her new piñata, her home and a mural of her and her family painted by a local artist in Dzemul. What a good girl she is!
Wrapping up a wonderful month in Merída. This is part of a mural I painted for our trade. Thank you @fitzstaines and @nigel_de_yucatan, you’re the best!
Still life, 3 days~492 animals sterilized ~4 vets~amazing right?….no te preocupes este gran macho está bien. #esteryliza #waytogo #happytohelp
